The BMF & BMN Announced their Top 100 Supplier Influencers, and two of the Resapol team are among those named.
The Builders Merchants Federation and Builders Merchants News have partnered to recognise the Top 100 Supplier Influencers. To make their Top 100 list you had to reach key criteria in four specific categories:
- Involvement
- Presence
- Charity and community work
- Commitment to the industry as a whole
The individuals nominated had to also be working for a company that supplies products or services to builders merchants, be involved with buying groups and trade associations and also attend industry events. In addition they must also actively engage with the industry on social media, have a presence within their community through fundraising and charitable work and show a commitment to training and promoting the industry to the next generation. The decision of who to include on this list wasn’t made by just the BMF and BMN – nominations were also put forward from the many different buying groups who came together in an industry first. They wanted to recognise the talent and dedication on the supplier side.
Lucyanne Matthews, Associate Publisher, BMN was quoted in the March issue saying “Every name in the Top 100 belongs to a forward thinking individual who is dedicated to the builders merchant industry. They are advocates for what makes this industry such a vibrant industry to work in. The criteria to make the Top 100 Supplier Influences was tough. If you have not made the final 100 it doesn’t mean that the work that you do for the builders merchants industry is not recognised. Everytime that you go above and beyond for the merchants it is acknowledged and appreciated and that’s what makes our industry the thriving, exciting place that it is.”
John Newcomb, BMF Chief Executive Officer was also quoted in the March issue of BMN, adding: “Over the past few months, it’s been fantastic to see the interaction from the industry on the campaign social media posts, showing the togetherness of the sector. The supplier influencers were nominated based on their commitment to making a difference in the sector and it is a real pleasure to celebrate their achievements.”
The list of influencers started to be revealed in the December 2022 issue of BMN and have continued until the last names were announced in the March 2023 issue. We are incredibly proud that two members of the Resapol family have been chosen to receive this honour.
