The governments ‘Road to Zero’ mission puts the UK at the forefront of the design and manufacturing of zero emission vehicles. With the plan to phase out the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans now brought forward to 2030, and for all new cars and vans to be effectively zero emission from 2035. Resapol, the UK’s leading independent supplier of specialist construction products, have already taken active steps to ensure that they are ready for this.
Towards the end of 2020 Resapol implemented a new company vehicle policy; the main aim being to move all company vehicles to either hybrid or electric, supported by electric charge points installed across all their depots nationwide. This is well on the way to being achieved with a 15 strong fleet already delivered and on the road.
This is all part of Resapol’s wider and continuing sustainability strategy which has seen them invest heavily, not just in new vehicles, but also in a new waste management system, digital tools to go paperless, and the sponsorship of Ocean Revival.
