London Build 2019

22 November, 2019

Resapol are once again exhibiting at this year’s highly anticipated London Build exhibition that is set to take place early next week.

Our stand for this year’s event will feature the theme of sustainability as we welcome both the Ocean Revival 2020 and Till the Coast is Clear teams onto our stand. Earlier this year Resapol become the main sponsors of Ocean Revival 2020, an epic row across the North Atlantic totalling 3,700 miles, all the way from The Brooklyn Bridge in New York City to the Tower Bridge in London.

The new Resapol stand on display at this years UK Construction Week.

Ocean Revival 2020 is a team of serving and former serving Royal Marine Commandos, who have fought alongside each other in 45 Commando. They have now teamed up to take the fight against plastic waste by attempting to raise awareness and help keep momentum in the fight against plastic in our oceans by rowing across the North Atlantic Ocean.

The row boat will be on fully display on the huge Resapol stand at London Build alongside Ocean Revival’s member Dom Rogers.

Till the Coast is Clear are a Community Interest Company whose main aim is to clear up floating marine debris from less accessible shorelines using a special recyclable boat and a fleet of kayaks made of recycled fishing nets.

Although they typically go to wherever they are needed, the team specialise in venturing to more remote locations where the accumulations of plastics are often out of sight and out of mind. Through several key partnerships all of the recovered material is up cycled, recycled or used for waste to energy production – nothing goes to land fill!

Gary Joliffe, Director of Till the Coast is Clear, will also be on hand on the Resapol stand to educate, motivate and to hopefully initiate changes in businesses wanting to become more sustainable. It is Gary’s aim to inspire positive change and to promote sustainable practices towards a circular economic approach to the future.

Till the Coast is Clear has previously featured on BBC Countryfile and BBC Spotlight, highlighting the great work that they do for the betterment of the environment.

Ocean Revival & Till the Coast is Clear’s commitment to the fight against plastics in the ocean fits in well with Resapol’s own efforts to make our business and wider supply chain more sustainable – they look set to be great additions for the upcoming London Build Exhibition.

Doors open for the show at 9.30am on Wednesday and Thursday, November 27th & 28th at the Olympia London.
