Description

Polycure is a specially formulated curing compound for use with all the Parex range of cementitious repair materials, mortars and grouts. The compound is an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer packaged in polybottles. Polycure is supplied ready for onsite use straight from the container. When applied to the surface of concrete, mortar or grout it produces a moisture retaining film which contributes to the curing of the cementitious product. The reduction in moisture loss helps to prevent problems associated with rapid drying out and shrinkage. Polycure is a general purpose curing compound for all cementitious repair products and placed concretes. The action is to retain the mix water and promote the complete hydration of cement. In moderate ambient conditions one application is required but in harsh drying conditions a second application may be necessary. Polycure does not form a self degrading film but will be removed by abrasion or weathering over a period of time.
